YAY! My first OOTD video OUTSIDE and not in my house or in front of my white backdrop!
I've been meaning to shoot one of these for a while but I don't have anyone to help me film, so while I was out in Seattle, WA. I got John to learn! I am determined to teach John how to film fashion videos and hopefully be able to post more like this one! I do have to say, even though some of these shots were out of focused, John did a pretty a good job for his FIRST TIME. Also, this was my first time filming in public so I was pretty awkward and self-conscious about people watching. I apologize if you can sense my awkward-ness in the video but I tried my best. Overtime, maybe I'll get over it... maybe.
Before I left to Seattle, I purchased myself a couple of new fall pieces. I got this long, minimal, black layering jacket from H&M that I just absolutely love. It makes any outfit a bit more chic. The second thing I got was a pair of slip on shoes! I've been eyeing a pair of VANS (that practically everyone has) but as I was shopping, I noticed these TOMS! I love these so much more than the TOMS Classics that look like ninja shoes. If the VANS Classic slip ons had a baby with the TOMS Classics, this is the shoe you would get. The canvas on these shoes are slightly coated making it sleek yet casual.
Everything else in this outfit were things I already had. The backpack is something I've kept for years now. I remember a family friend gave it to me when I was younger, and it wasn't fashionable back then but I kept it because it reminded me of the backpacks Alice Silverstone's character Cher wore in 'Clueless'. Finally, these tiny minimal backpacks are back in style! So, for the first time ever, I got to wear it.
I did all the hard work and linked all the products that are still available below:
